how can i tell which computer i have it is either an 88 tc or the 97 ranger and which is better?

i would use the 97 ranger its alot easier to tune with

You will like mass air a lot better. Go with the 97 ECU.

so the 88 tc is not mass air if that is so i have the 97 com because i have a mass

nope if you have a mass its the ranger ecu
it so much easier to tune the obdII's

It all depends on the year you are working with. 95 and newer EEC-V you will want to use Sniper or SCT = http://rangersrevenge.com/cgi/forumdisplay.php?f=6

was wrong on year of motor it is an 89
