Anyone got pics of an intercooler setup in a 98+? What kind are you running?

What have you got there Jess? How did you mount yours? Thanks guys

Not sure what the difference is between a 96 and 98 front end in terms of intercooler mounting. But i've got a volvo IC and they just sit right behind the rad, its a perfect fit. I believe some people don't even fasten them to anything.
I think Jess is also running a volvo at the moment, not sure how he mounted it though.

Thats the best i got, don't mind the hose on the drivers side pic. It was "prototype":=)

That does look like a perfect fit! Is yours mounted at all or does it just sit in there? Also did you just cut that plastic shroud that sits in front of the radiator? Mine has the shroud that looks like it funnels air into the radiator

Mine is bolted up to a bar at the botton but its not necessary once you get the IC tubes hooked up.
I didn't have to cut the plastic shroud at all.

i was trying to run ac with the ic and rad, and i didnt have the ranger running long enough to try the ac, but i thing it might have worked. the only thing is if i would have had to do some work on the front end, i would prob have to take the fan out, no real biggy.

i was running a volvo ic. i hated it. i had like no boost while i had it. once i took it off, the boost went up like crazy. i say if your gonna spent the money on this engine, i say try to find a npr ic. i have heard nothing but good things from people who have them. or even a ford diesel, i think someone said was pretty good, but i know they recommended the npr for sure.

I still have the volvo IC in there as of now. I'll have it upgraded soon.
