like it says. ive downloaded all the drivers and software from the sct site, and no luck.

can anyone help??

i hook my sct up to the laptop, and the tuner will power on, but it wont pop up on the laptop like the website says it should.

or do i need to have it hooked up to the vehicle in order to use my laptop with either live load or live link??

Did you get it to work on your desk top?

You can try to uninstall everything restore your laptop to an earlier time and try to reinstall everything.

Do you have the drivers installed for sure? http://www.sctflash.com/software/XCal2_Drivers.exe

Try plugging it into different USB ports. I had a similar problem. The tuner only works on the USB port it was first plugged into (on my computer anyway).

Yea I would try a new USB cable. Look in the plug were it goes into the Xcal-2 and make sure all the conections look ok. I had this problem once and it was the USB port on my laptop.

It should be pretty straight forward. I used the help menu's too. If you want i can make you a little walk through on how to load tunes onto the tuner. Just lemme know and i'll make it tonight.
