i am building a 2.5 turbo motor and came to my main and rod bearing clearances. i know what my main clearances are but am confused because my machine shop told me between .002-.0035 for my mains which it is.. but for my rod bearing clearances it .015-.025 is this correct or is it thousanths? help! is there plastic gauge big enough for hundreths?
LOL! It's definitely not .015-.025! Should be more like .0015-.0025.

Did the crank ever get turned? Check the rod bearings are you installing oversized bearings? Should be the same as the mains.
