i've seen "complete" kits on ebay for $500. come with turbo and manifold, bov, and hardware. not sure if these are crap or not. what else will need to be updated, fuel pump and injectors? i'd like to turbo my 97 2.3 ranger for daily driving, but don't want to spen a lot of money, i'd rather spend that on my mach. btw, i'm glad i found this site cuz there ain't much info on turbo rangers anywhere else.

The header in that kit is the same as the one I sell. You would need to get it welded to make sure the brace welds don't break. The biggest problem with the header is poor welds on the braces. That’s why I go over all the headers I sell and weld the under side of the brace ect....
The turbo is not a good turbo, they fail pretty quick. You are a lot better off piecing your own kit together. The kit on ebay has a lot of missing pieces as far as oil lines fittings ect...
Upgrade your fuel pump and MAF go with a 90mm maf. 42lb injectors work good. SCT can tune your ECU for a good running setup. 280-300RWHP is fairly easy.

if only someone would let their ranger be used for "research". Can't beat that a real COMPLETE top of the line kit would be fabricated from HP Performance, heck yeah. hmmm i should do it.

id do it, but im not about to shell out any more money for my ranger, plus i think its more fun to go looking for what you need. plus your not limited to what they want you to get. i highly doubt their going to put in top of the line parts and peices into their kit.
