what do you mean? this is a turbo setup! did you not click on the link? and yes flat-tops!! with the amount of headwork that i have done it wont be a 9:1 cr and with the ms2 and e85 there wont be an issue with this at all..

I would think the bob header would be a dead give away. Sounds like you got some money saved up for this. I just got my federal tax return and made out pretty good. Can't spend to much yet, cause I still need to have the wifes approval. 8000.00 ain't bad at all though. Who are you going to get your converter from. I have been told that hughes and Trans king are able to do it no problem. There was one other one, but i forgot to write it down and forgot. Maybe we can get a group of people together and have some made. Not sure if it would help, but having multiple people getting one, might make it cheaper.

this is still a t5 setup... theadapter is just so icango to a v8 flywheel and use the bigger clutch disc... there is a guy here in cola that does custom convertors and thats all he does... one for a 2.3 would run around 450 to 500

sounds nice to have a big clutch, sounds like a bit pricey for me though.
take pictures i would like to see how he would do the adapter for the V8 flywheel.

thanks! for the link.... looks like it is just for a larger clutch, it makes no mention about using a diffrent Piolt bearing.. so it still must be a 4cyl unit

well, while waiting on a few other parts to get here, rings and turbo, ive started to mock up the install.....got a bare block with the adapter, bell and tranny bolted in.... it barely fits without hitting anything.... ill still have to massage the passenger side tunnel to keep it from touching under torque..... i also need to massage where the 3" exhaust will pass between the bell the frame and firewall... im going to have to be very precise with the downpipe placement.... not any room for error.

i hate that these are not final steps of assembly but they needed to be addressed reguardless.....i now know it will work...thats cool...

no this is the new setup on the pinto.... once this is done, im gona go through the old shortblock and get the ranger turboed.... have almost everything to do the ranger now except another megasquirt.... the ranger is only gonna be 200 to 250 hp dd...nothing crazy... gonna even keep the ac in it.

I have been thinking of making a ice box a/c unit for mine in the summer. I do like that you picked the best year ranger to do, an its pretty straight. Is the a/c controled by the computer at all. I know in my GMC that when I took out the computer, everything works but my heater. I even tried hot wiring it and it wouldn't work. I guess, with ms you may be able to put that in, but i just don't know much on the ms.

i got the bobs flipped ranger header that places the turbo at the front of the engine so i shouldnt have any issues keeping the ac.. i dont think i even have to trim the box at all.
