new to turbos

hi i have an 87 ranger that i plan putting a turbo in. a kid i went to school with said he will sell me every that is connected to the manifold thats attached to the turbo the turbo the down pipe. intercooler and vam for $100. it cam out of a 87 thunder bird and there is no shaft play in the turbo i was wondering if its a good deal?

so your getting the turbo, the down pipe, the manifold, wastegate actuator, and the large vam.... not a bad deal

large vams go for about $50-60
the E6 Mani goes for about the same
the IHI compleate can bring $75-130

now see if he will sell you the pistons and rods and how have most of the main hard parts you will need
