I took the lock rods out of my '05 because of this. Now you can't pry up on it.

My ranger never came with the door key, so I don't even lock it. On my year, you can pull a clip thats right in side the door jam parallel to the lock that will allow the lock cylinder to come out. I wonder if this trick works on 92s or if its just newer ones.

The only time I lock mine is if I go out of state. Half the trucks in town have a gun in them.

i broke into my wifes ranger twice in under a minute, and it was 5 below outside both times. sliding glass window latch is easy to pop from the outside. you just go in between the glass with a coathanger.

if someone really wants in your car there is really nothing you can do about it excepting maybe hook up the coil pack to the frame

As for stealing the whole vehicle, I'm just gonna hide a master battery switch under the seat or in the console for parking it overnight or when I'm at ri0667's place. Lol, it's a ghetto

this isnt new news. watch 1 guy on you tube showing how to pick the lock to start it. but the dummy didnt know how to use a flat top screw driver an crack the bottom cover off an pop the lock.

:( well its news to me and it only takes 14 seconds... me and friends had a race to see who could do it fastest and that includes taking off the intina... i had to try it after i found out about this, its kinda neat, specially if you dont have a sliding back glass window. but its true if some one wants whats in your truck... who knows

I think RPS banned anyone from posting this shit because it's creating another source for anyone to stumble on how to easily break into a Ranger.

Did the OP really think this one through before posting it?

If someone already knew how easy it was would you really want everyone else to know? And if someone didn't already know then it's best kept that way so people wouldn't plaster it all over the internet. Doesn't really matter if this is available at-will in a million different places, adding one more place (our forum none the less) makes it that much worse.

I give this thread a thumbs-down.

Im sorry to affend anyone, but its kinda a lose lose situation i felt it would benifit some to know that the rangers are an easy target, but at the same time i see how spreading this info is dangerous itself, i allready took the video off.

I call it bad journalism. The 1st policeman killed by a armor piercing round was just after a reporter did a story on them. ect ect

No offense. If the forum was private I wouldn't have said anything, but it's open to the public.
