merkur harness with LA3 ecu?

I searched around briefly, and if im understanding it correctly, the merkur harness would need to be repinned to accept an LA3? IIRC, the harness im picking up was pulled out of an 86 XR4TI, but id like to run an intercooled computer if possible.Anybody confirm this, and also possibly point me towards info on what needs to be done? Thanks in advance, im getting too anxious to get this truck together :D

yeah it needs repinned but as i understand it its pretty simple.

I had one other question about the harness's, is there differences in wiring between the Auto and 5spd engine harness? Im not sure if the car was an auto or 5spd, but id like to know if anything needs to be jumped or bypassed.My truck is a 5spd, so if i ended up with an auto harness, is there any extra wiring problems ill run into?

pe computer is a direct plug and play

pe is not an easy ecu to find... I want to say they were SVO only...

the rewire is like 1 sensor, a switch and repin 3 wires...

I am joing to do this same mod so I can run the la/lb ecu in my 85TC... then after AJ guinnie pigs the quaterhorse Ill be ready to do that

Im waiting for my LA3 to get here, and im going to attempt to wire tuck the engine bay so its going to be a while before mines done.

man... i hate being a guinea pig. i am still waiting to get a new laptop battery so i can get binary editor ordered. been busy with this pulling tractor so who knows when ill get the quarterhorse on. month at least.
