Hey guys, new to the forum. Here is my 2003 Ford Ranger, its a 3.0 auto but am starting to piece together a 2.3t motor and could use some useful info.

Where at in Texas? I use to visit Beaumont once a year. Warning! This site is very addictive and your wife/fiance/gf will be pissed because you never take her out to dinner anymore because you sit at the computer for endless hours waiting for new threads and posts! Hehe:hehe:

P.S. I just saw a rear mount turbo setup on a 3.0 over at Rangerstation forum. Sorry, but I don't remember the link.

awesome, not what i would be interested in though, i wouldnt feel to good about having my turbo back there

I wouldnt feel good about having a turbo on a 3.0 anyways. There is almost no aftermarket for the 3.0. You gonna boost, you gonna need forged pistons. No ways around it.

I was just joking around when i said that. I and/or you, would be 10x happier with a 2.3T then a 3.0T. A 4.0...maybe... but def not a 3.0L.

you shouldn't have a problem putting the 2.3L in there, other than your tranny issue. You have 2 choices. Auto or manny?
Auto-C4, C3, maybe A4ld <-- but it'll prolly die quick.
Manny-T5, M5od.
