I have a friend that has a weber 2 barrel side draft that was on his 4 cyl love that he turbo'd an ran up to 15 psi. Not sure what its worth but if anyone is wanting to build a carb ranger i could get it for you. should be worth 200.00 i would think but let me know. also there is a wastegate usa made set at 15 but it has a weird flange. came off the luv also. This was before all the modern turbo'n stuff, so kinda rare. Pics can be available if needed.

Price is actually 150 plus shipping. I just didn't want to get in trouble for no price, and hadn't asked how much he wanted. It comes with some extras. this would be hooked right to the turbo and be drawn thru. Its a 40 dcoe. http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af172/jfive_5/0422101934.jpg http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af172/jfive_5/0422101934a.jpg http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af172/jfive_5/0422101931.jpg

Anyone interested in this. If you are let me know cause after a while I am gonna stick it on craigslist and then ebay. I would buy it for myself if I had carb ranger. its a carb with silicon hoses, two barrel adaptor, and weiand airfilter kit. Ebay says its 400.00 just for a new carb, and so I think 150.00 plus shipping is really fair. Came off a turbo 4cyl chevy luv that and wasn't used much, and was boxed up for the last 7 years.

You lost me on this one? How would you hook it right to the turbo? Looks like a weber on jury-rigged V8 intake adapter?

I was lost and had to have him explain it to me too. So yes the carb hook right on to the inlet of the turbo and the gas and air go through the turbo and then into the engine. Its a draw thru carb, but setup for a turbo application. The guy I got it from is a diesel mechanic with years of experiance. He was a detroit diesel mechanic and came up with this all on his own. He built this luv and raced it years ago and has sold it and kept the turbo, carb, and parts. he ran 15 psi of boost with this carb and setup. I am gonna keep the turbo for one of my builds. but I figure a small turbo would work good. No V8 adaptor. Its a two barrel adaptor. It sit sideways cause its a side draft.

So you're saying, that you shoot gas into the turbo...:hehe:
I think that guy was messing with you...

That's how draw through carb setups work... Same idea as the old school blowers where there are carbs sitting on top of the blower.

stupidest thing I ever heard of... Wouldn't the fuel hitting the impeller slow it down? WTF?

ford had the 2.3l turbo draw threw carb in the 79 pace car mustang to 81. it went away till 83 when it came back as efi 2.3l. jon huber car was the 1st draw threw turbo car off the line in 79.
the set up dont work to well in the long run as the gas hitting the blades will pit it after time causing failure.this is y you see carb set up being blow threw now.

Okay, so i still have this carb setup, and its still for sale. I have been doing some research about how fast this setup can be, and came across this link http://www.cookieboystoys.com/friends/purplepinto.htm If you notice this pinto has a DC0E 40 draw thru thats the same as this one exactly. I also found one two days ago, but can't seam to find it again that was a minidragster with a 2.0 pinto motor draw thru turbo same setup that was doing the 1/4 in 9 secs. I think the weight was 1800 minus the driver. Anyone wanting to turbo an older two barrel ranger this is what you need.
