Well I have my tune and the truck runs great. It boosts well and seems to drive great. The problem I have is upon startup and idle. To start the truck, it will only start if the gas pedal is to the floor. Otherwise it will just crank and crank and not start. When it idles, it is pretty rough. It runs real rough upon first idleing down to normal idle (~800rpms), then its still idles a little rough as its warm. It stays at this rough idle and I'm not sure how to fix it. Other than that it runs great. Any ideas?

Make sure you do not have any vac leaks of any sort.

Yea i was really leaning towards vac leak but ive been over and over and over it and can't find anything wrong with the vaccum lines or connections. i went and picked up the iac just now so i can test it out 2m early. was about 40 bucks so that not bad, worth a shot anyway

The new IAC valve did not make a difference. There is some oil in the throttle body, i stuck my finger in the iac hole when I was taking it out and it had some oil in it, i presume from the valve cover vent blowing into it. I'll keep checking for vaccum leaks but I really cant find a single one

If your PCV valve was screwed and unplugged would this cause a vac leak?

I replaced it about 5 months before the turbo. Its seated in place and hasnt moved since i put the breather on the truck

what about excess oil? I have an oil separator on the way, but for now just in the few test runs i've done, the vent from the valve cover still goes straight to the TB. could that cause a slight problem?

Yeah, that's a real bad idea.

Just take the hose from your valve cover and point it to the ground or into a container if you don't like oil on the ground. That's your crank case vent. If you have it running to your tb, your pressurizing your crank case every time you boost. That's also why your blowing out your PCV valve and have oil in your IAC.

Yeah thats the stock setup on there with that line. i blocked off the tb exit, and ran with the vent open and took a quick ride and it shot out some oil. I'll get a container setup to control this oil spillage
