Got the new intake on and running with the large TB. Got the HUGE CX racing IC installed with 3" piping. Got a large tranny cooler installed also.
I am not sure what to credit the HP increase to the most the intake, the large TB the huge IC the 3" piping duno what helped the most but it unleashed a LOT of HP talk about breaking loose at 80MPH :naughty:
BTW the throttle cable bracket is temporary

Did you just tap all the necessary vacuum lines into the cylinder?

There is no room to spare, it is a very tight fit. Here are some pic's of it.

I've got the same one, it is really tight and will require some grinding for it to fit. But once its in its beautiful!

im all about a little grinding for a fit that nice!! is it so tight because its wide, or tall? would a tad smaller size work better or just tough it out and do it?!! thanks!! hey jess, y'd u go with the round intake and not a ported stocker?

Go with the big IC you won't regret it ;)
Better rout for the IC piping. It is also hard to get a large throttle body onto the stock intake.

Way Too Sweet Brother !! Did you fab the intake manifold?? Slick !!
I still have to locate a donor engine & tranny. Might as well rebuild both since I've built up the diff already, (Swaped out the 3.73 open for a 4.10 limited slip). BIG Improvement!!

stedman, you lose much top end speed after the rear end swap? I bet it helped you acel a ton

Muddpawz, prior to the recalibration, yea I lost a wee bit, kinda doggish. Got the the recalibrator from "Blue Oval Chip" & entered the Bianary Code for the Gear swap & the BF Goodrich P295/50R/1055's on the rear, I regained the upper end and the speedometer reads the correct speed now.
Yeah, I could really roast 'em now if I was still young & dumb. The 4.10 / limited slip is the perfect highway gear. And it gives a boost as in MPG too!! With the 3.73 open I would have to downshift to 3rd / 2nd gear on the long grades. With the 4.10 limited, I can cruz 'em in 4th and still sip fuel !!
I'm also running a K&N cold air induction w/Hellex Throttle Body insert. That helped out till I build my turbo engine. Still need to locate or I should say have time to locate a donor engine..........Lates, Lee

hey jess, did you fab the intake manifold yourself, or find it somewhere? looks like a darn good design, is it a matched upper and lower, or a factory style lower with a sweet custom upper? whats the scoop?!!!

Factory Lower with the lower part of the upper intake welded onto the tube. Thats all i know, as far as the volume and that jazz goes i have no idea. It really cleans up the engine bay.

I had a local shop do the work. Yea stock ported lower with a modified upper. I can have one made for 275$ if you want one.

i know you have a newer truck than a 94, will the same intake work on my 94? Or are the runners different? im thinking they are the same, but just wana make sure.

I think the 94 has larger runners on the lower intake.

both heads and intakes are totally different. the 94- upper and lowere will work on the 95+ head. 95+ wont work on the 94- though. 95= has biger lower runners. 94 has bigger intake runners in the head.

Jess,
How about an update on your intake, now that you've had it on for awhile. I've read on TF and a couple nissan sites of 1 and 4 going lean, with this type of setup. (Forward facing w/ TB on the end). How has it been for you?

I'm curious about the intercooler. How much cutting did it require and would it fit on a vehicle with AC. Based on the pics I belive you removed your AC...

also I don't think the intercooler links work.
