No offense but with the setup you have it won't make enough differance. A gutted intake on a mostly stock setup would probubly hurt your power rather than help. Turn up the fuel and boost and then you will need one. Loosen 10 hp in the low end to make 2 hp in the top is not worth it.

The one I have is gutted and I'm running 18 to 20 psi I also have a t3 waiting to hit 25 psi I like to get everything ready for the end result it took me 3 years to swap the motor lol

Gutted uppers make a huge difference in power, and advance your cam 4 degrees! I also am running 20 psi of boost. I dont think j-five has any experience with a t/c engine so they are just opinions based on nothing. I did a 6061 3/4" spacer then gutted/ welded and rotated my intake 90 degrees. The spacer lets you mount the intake above the alternator. If you try to rotate the intake 120 degrees it messes up the flow in the intake. Hope this helps!

thanks 96 lowslow im using the ranger acc brackets so my alternator is on the passenger side i have nothing but space on the driver side i think my ic tubing going right over the hot turbo probably heats it up pretty good so with a rotated intake it would solve that and make my ic pipe shorter

I just think if your looking for an intake to keep the truck from being down, it really doesn't matter if its gutted or not. I'm just saying any intakes better than no intake, and I thought you where at 15psi from past posts. I also posted it just as an opinion, and not as " this is what you should do". Thank you very much.

Yeah the shorter I/C tubing improves throttle respone, its also nice being able to remove the valve cover without having to take the upper intake off of the engine. The stock intake is very restrictive, even at 15psi of boost the engine will run better with a heavily ported intake. Ford was asleep at the wheel when they designed that intake. Alot of other 4 cyl turbo cars have a large plenum with separate good flowing runners going to each cylinder. When you port the hell out of it, you are effectively making a large plenum, and then as the air goes into the lower it gets a ram effect under boost, and the air gets separated to each short runner.
