Was boosting down the road and BOOM! I figured a clamp had let go but not this time.

Silicon elbow gave out, what a piece of crap! I was only running at maybe 16psi. Here's what it did to my hood insulation, looks like a bear got at it :angry:

WOW I was fearing much worse. That silicone doesn't look too thick to start with. Glad it's an easy fix man.

Ya they are pretty thin, thats what you get when you pay 50 bucks for a kit.

Yeah, that's why you buy the reinforced couplers.

well at lease you didnt have any more damage. i know had 1 blow off on a kenworth on me, thought had a tire blow out it was so loud.

holy crap, everytime ive blown a coupler, or BOV off, its never made a 'boom' noise. never even knew it happened, just the truck died on power and would barely run. Both times ive done it was at 20psi too.

Really? Thats wierd.

I hope i don't have any problems, getten a little something in a couple weeks that will change things up front.

Well i got too horny and blew the other silicon coupler too, now i'm F'd till i get new couplers.
