What is the deal with the fuel prices :banghead: Crude keeps going up every week right now at 137$ a barrel. They say it could go as high as 187$ a barrel. Gas could go up to 6-7$ a gal :frown: .

I think the country will come to a stand still before we hit 7$ a gal. If you wonder I put the blame on the investors that are trying to make $$$ on investing in future oil.

Government officials are so deeply in bed with the oil companies that I'm afraid it actually WILL get that high! Everyone wants to make money at anyones expense, its rediculous!

The problem is the way its creeping up. I remember being pissed that gas was up at $2.25! Now I'd kill for that price! And unfortunantly I think thats what we will be saying about over 4 bucks a gallon. "man I wish it was that low"

It needs to change NOW though, this is out of controoooool. This country is well on its way down the hole.....

I'm in the Netherlands now. They use the Euro for their currency. They pay roughly 1.61 Euro a liter.

When exhchanged, and converted, they are paying about $9.80 USD a gallon.

By the looks of it, we'll be there in the next 5 years.

from what i undersatnd their suppose to be increasing the oil output by like 700K more barrels a day. whats this suppose to do....? i dont know, hopefully things will change with this election, it just needs to happen soon, this is ludicrous.

we should all just not drive for a week, and boycott. they would loose so much money and would end up having to lower prices, cuz then they would see that we can get along without it. then they'd get scared

time for everyone to take a week off, except for those oil company a--h---s

I can't even fathom living outside of the US and paying for gas. I know gas prices are awful here, but they are beyond outrageous other places! It's going to collapse EVERYTHING. November can't come soon enough......

That a good video. I honestly think it should be illegal to buy into future oil.

Then on the Left side is this FOOL! Just remember there in charge and WILL NOT DRILL FOR OUR OWN OIL!! REMEMBER THAT IN NOVEMBER!

YOU CANT BE SERIOUS it does not matter how much oil we drill. They have exceeded oil drilling by hundreds of thousands of barrels a day. No matter what the price stays on the incline. It does not matter how much we drill or where from the will decide to drill from they decide what the price is. Don’t play into the stupid idea that this is a simple supply and demand problem. Because if that were true why have we drilled more and more and more but no relief at the pump. Like Jesse said it a futures market problem. They found another oil field off the shore of Brazil that has enough oil to solely provide for the whole world way pass our lifetime. People are dumb they believe were out of oil. the us reserve wouldn't last our contry 2 months. truth is 1-2 years from now oil will be back a 2.00-2.50 gal and stay there forever. more alternative energy cars will be so abundant that our crazy need for gas will be so minimum that they will be begging us to keep gas stations open. but thats just my opinion i could be wrong.

this whole oil thing is crap

like you said we will never be out of oil

its the corporate c!!! s!!!!!!s that are making millions off gouging us at the pump

the auto industry and general economy sucks because of this and no one is doing anything about it

someone needs to grow a set of nuts and actually do something about the gas prices instead of talking about it all day on TV

Honestly what bugs me is the fact that the enviromentalists seem to be trying to destroy our economy. The USA cannot be put onto an uneven playing field with the rest of the world due to enviromental regulations. I really dont have a problem with trying to use less oil, but come on and let us build a power plant that can take up the gap until we find a better way. If we would have built refineries and been willing to dill for oil 10 years ago we wouldnt be as bad off as we are now.

As far as hybrids go. They suck. Sure they get good mileage but who wants to recycle the batteries in 10 years and how much hazzardous waste will there be. THE SIMPLE SYSTEMS SEEM TO BE THE BEST. Why use batteries as a storage device for the vehicles energy. How about using an air pump to stop the vehicle turning motion into compressed air and an air motor to propel the vehicle before starting the gas engine. Another Idea, how about a big spring to absorb motion and return it to the wheels on take off.

The asnwer is that the government is 100% sure that we cannot take care of ourselves and want a level of controll over us via the proliferation of electronec modules. Sure they add some cool features but do any of us really need a module between out wiper switch and wiper motor?

I dont hate nature and like clean air but I am fed up with enviromentalists trying to save the world at our expense. last time I figured China doesn't seem to care and we cannot do enough to offset thier 1+ billion people. We need to stay competive on the world market.

LET THE MARKET DECIDE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. WHEN OIL PRICES GET OUT OF CONTROLL LET US SWITCH TO WHAT WORKS BEST AND NOT CREATE BARRIERS TO PROGRESS LIKE HIGHER TAXES AND GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES. SERIOUSLY, THE MARKET AND FREE ENTERPRISE DO WORK IF YOU LET THEM.

Ethanol seemed good at first but now food prices are out of whack. lets move on and try something else.
