So what kind of aftermarket camshafts are available for the Rangers Dual Plug Cylinder head with the factory roller camshaft? This doesn't seem to be your typical Summit Racing item.

Also, what benefits are there to the adjustable Cam Sprockets? Are there any real world gains to an otherwise stock 2.3 (other then turbocharged that is) from using an adjustable sprocket?

I am looking for some bolt on upgrades to the ranger. The camshaft department seems like it could use some improvement.

Jess has the 2277 from esslinger, but that sucker only draws about 10in/hg at idle and its a rough idle. Not sure whats out there for a milder cam. I'm running the stock cam and am pretty happy with it.
Are all cames for 2.3's interchangable (dual and single plug)?

The 2277 appears to be for a non roller setup also.

Edit: E2277 appears to be for a roller setup.

I found this one. Looks like it could be a good alternative. Mildish with a good price... turbo specific. What do you think?

That looks like a good cam.

All 2.3L 2.5L cams are interchangeable DP or non DP. The early 2.3's had slider cams the late models have roller cams that is the only diff.

Try boport’s cams I heard they are the Best!! http://www.bo-port.com/camstage.html
