I use Sniper/Delta Force Commando software for tuning my ranger. I need to adjust for a rear axle gear/or tire change but the parameter is missing in my template. I have contacted sniper to have the template adjusted, but Sniper is claiming that my ECU (ETT2) doesn't have any axle/tire correction in it and that it must be handled by something else (speedo gear- ugh). I think they are wrong and believe it is in the ECU. Could one of you guys that use SCT confirm for me that there is some sort of axle/tire correction parameter is in the ECU. And if possible give me the Memory address of the parameter so I can pass it on to these guys so that I get this damn template addressed.

2000 Ranger 2.5
Part No:XL5F-ANC
Strategy: PAADA
Catch Code:ETT2
Hardware:ML2-711

i just noticed something you'r right,:didimiss: under the axle peramitor there is no adjustment's so i figured it was adjusted under transmission gear ratio's or something,
Anyways i made a new tune with special forces and marked a new tire height and it had no differences when i compared the values, mine is FLH2,

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but:
Anything OBD I uses a gear off the transmission to drive speedo/odo. To change for right ratio or tire size, you get a gear with a different number of teeth

Anything OBD II uses the VSS sensor that runs off the rear abs ring in the rear end. This means you only have to modify it if you change tire size (this is because the sensor is after the ring and pinion). I do not know of anyway to do this through the ECU but you can buy the trulift module from superlifts and do it. I literally did about a week ago for my truck that I have 32's on. It intercepts the VSS signal coming out of the GEM (located behind radio on left side) and modifies it before it reaches the ECU. Thus correcting your speedo/odometer.

This makes a lot of sense to me and I think your right. But that means the ecu should still have a corrector for tire size. It doesn't show up in my template but that definitely does not mean it's not there.

I just wish someone who tunes with SCT would chime up here and help us confirm that they do or don't have REVs/mile or any other correcting parameter in the SCT templates.

sct does have a correction. You have to get the rev per mile form your tire manufacturer's web site and enter it in

My FLH2 has a parameter where you enter the final drive ratio 3.73 etc.
