I was wondering if anyone has done or knows how to switch to a larger throttle body

You almost need a custom intake. The T/B you need is found on 94-95 5.0L mustangs. The stock intake would need to be modified pretty much to get the 5.0L T/B to work.

the mustang t/b is 60mm. you have to port the opening to the intake to its size. you also have to slot the bolt holes on the t/b to fit the 2.3 intake.

i was wondering about this i have a old 5.0 T/B didnt think it would work it the flange looked to big

I thought you could take the supercoupe TBs and they were pretty much a bolt up thing? Maybe that was something I read wrong a long time ago

the supercoupe is the same t/b the mustang uses. you have to do the same sloting of the holes to make it fit.

i still dont know when a larger throttle body is neccessary. big TB's are good for one thing wide open throttle. everywhere else ive run into nothing but problems. trailer hitching is the biggest one. if your doing alot of street driving i'd recommend just sticking with a stocker or a nearly stocker. if you want more details, ask, i'll explain more.
