they also had the boss290 (which essentially was our 2001 cobra r 5.4dohc) that made 290kw(about 380hp) that we never got to see as a mass produced street car. lucky bastages. stupid american ford. maybe someone should import that straight six and put it in a ranger. they have them in their UTE's so why not.

Ive been looking into trying to get a falcon to the US for about a year. IT would cost some money.... I have wanted one of these for so long. It might be my favorite car.

Actually you'll probably find the reason they are not available here in the U S of A is one word -> EMISSIONS, they'd never pass the standards our government has come up with.

i know for 2011, ford has put the turbo 4 ecoboost in the falcon....being the first rearwheel drive car to get the four cilinder turbo ecoboost. but i talked to a ford enginer, and he said the mustang or the focus in the u.s. could get the turbo four some time soon.

i wikied the falcon and man that 4.0 dohc straight six is beautiful. it makes now 420hp stock. they also come with the new 5.0 coyote engine supercharged that makes 445hp granted we now get the boss with 440hp. their 5.4 eventually made 315kw or 420hp. ford really needs to bring those engines over here and quit giving us weaker motors.

I just want one to put in my ranger, with a T-56 to back it up to make it a Supra/Skyline killer. :)

I would LOVE to get my hands on a I-6 turbo engine and trans to drop down in my ranger!!!!!!! Sounds alot like a 2JZ....but of course they both are I-6's
