Is it stupid to put a cam in?
Well, the engine won't do its thing without it.
Come on, what kinda question is this really?

No, it's a good idea. I heard of up to 70HP gain with Boports cam's. http://www.bo-port.com/

Ya i've read that too, i wouldn't doubt it increases power by 70hp if your setup has everything but a cam. Stock setup i'm not sure about though.

i was talking aftermarket like those big v8's how they sound i know mine will never sound like that i was just wondering do people do it
Yes, lol. It is a very common upgrade. There are some 'turbo' cams out there, but they are less than ideal from what I have read up on.
I've heard great things from the Bo-cams as well, as it seems he took the time to actually build the cam around the engine, instead of making a generic cam. I however, can not, nor will I ever, endorce his product as that guy is a childish prick.

Edit of my post
This took a turn for the worse. I'm guilty of it obviously, but anymore discussion of TF or Bo personally in this thread should be kept to PMs. Thanks.

ok maybe an old topic to bring back, but i read in the beginning few posts that the bo-port heads were a good product. but my wonder was i have the dual plug head on my 2.3. and im not sure if the bo-port product was a 4 plug or 8 plug head... cause i looked at there site and OMG! they look like a killer product built to extreme specs..and i want one!!!.. but a simple answer to this question would greatly assist in my getting of the right parts to start my buildup...

I can't say about the heads but I am sold on one of his cams. I believe he does good work and is knowledgeable. Personally, I'm not going there
