Hi all,
I feel so lucky that I've found this forum. There are Ranger forums belonging to my country but there are no exact solutions for the problems in those forums.
I have a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2. The engine is 2.5 Duratorque with 143 HP.
Now I've two questions about sounds coming from the vehicle.
1- In position -D- when I press the throttle hard for 2 seconds, start to move and suddenly leave the throttle, a sound comes from the vehicle just like a tyre slips on asphalt surface when you brake hard. It's like fu fu fu fu. (I know it sounds funny It's something that happens only in D position and in the 1st gear. I wonder if it's normal or is there something wrong with the shaft or transmission?
Here I asked the service and they said it's because of a problematical part placed under the transmission. It's a general problem they said, and nothing to worry about. But I feel it's not that simple.
2- When I stop the vehicle there is still a sound coming from the engine. Before, I read that turbo turbines are still turning even if you stop the engine. But I also read that if you wait 1 minutes before stopping the engine, turbines get slower and stop turning as soon as you stop the engine. Even if I wait for 1 minute, the sound keeps coming for more than 10 seconds. So, is it normal ?
Sorry to bother you but I'll feel better if I can find true answers.
Thanx
