At least your something. Its called wood gasification. You can actually run a gas engine off wood. Crazy huh. You take and make a burner, alot like a pellet stove, and you burn the wood in a way that it releases gas hydrogen and carbon, and then you cool the gas thru an intercooler, and run it into the intake, like you would propane, and run the engine off it. Now its not easy to do and you need a big ass contraption to do it. The technology isn't new though. There is a truck that was made 50 years ago that runs on wood gasification. I was just surprized that someone did it to a lima of all things. Its very rare, and I am sure thats why you haven't heard about it.

ive seen wood powered engines before, but only to run a small engine like a generatior..i have never seen this done on a car, let alone a lima ranger, very cool!
