View Full Version : Need Some Advise Please...

i recently bought some used TC pistons. when they showed up i noticed a couple pistons had nicks in ring lands and 1 or 2 on the skirts. nothing huge but you cant miss them when you look at it. could i run some emery cloth over them and still use them? or should i junk them?

tried to post up pics, but that didnt turn out so well!

they good for ashtrays now. to many nicks that will make hot spots an could cause a failure.

You could use them but you would need a file and spend some time working on them, still be better buying a different set.

send them to me. i'll use them and let you know how they work. like jess said hit em with a file. i dont see anything that couldnt be cleaned up. as long as they are not worn out and the skirts are not cracked id use em.
