eventually i wanna swap an 06 front end on (i love that grille style, and the hoods) so maybe i can do some mod with the bumper to let a lil more flow into there, but i think it looks pretty dope for now, kinda sleeper-ish if you will

Very nice! It looks like the wa y I dod mine. It fits up perfectly in there and you can use flat brackets to mount it to that support in there. I can't find that picture now I had of mine, but it looks great and flows better!
I had to take a little bit of the plastic out from the inside of bumper to get it fit no problem, but it was on the inside anyway so It didn't matter. did you hav eto do that?

nah all i had to do was on the support for the ac condenser theres like a lip that i had to cut off. then i made some brackets from some from some ube steel welded to some flat steel and bam. drilled a couple holes and done. but it took me a while.
then i put the bumper back on and was having a killer time with the mounts. but their all messed up from my buddy backing into me, so i need new ones, so i just threw the bumper on and called it a day.

what type of intercooler did you decide to use? How did you route the inlet/outlet tubes & hoses? Looks awsome!! If your bumper mounts weren't bent up would it have gone right back on? Im trying to figur out how to mount one on mine, any info would be great!!

muddpawz, id go with an IC that mounts in front of the radiator and has inlet and outlets like the volvo intercooler. id get one around the same dimentions maybe an inch or 2 wider. get somthing atleast 2.5-3 inches thick and bar and plate.

any specifics on the volvo ic? car model, year, dimensions? Not familiar with the bar and plate term? im not above buying a custom ic if you would recomend a size and style for me to compare?

you have a limited amount of frontal when it comes to the ranger so i would measure the grill opening and get as close of a core size as i could to that. the end tanks would go on the outside of that, or what would fit between the headlights and not interfer with the radiator.

the only reason i went with this ic is because i wanted to keep the ac. it gets hot here in the dirty south. iv noticed that a lot of people doin the swap dont keep their ac, so the volvo works great. i actually have my other volvo ic, ill sell you if you want, pm me with any questions about it.
but if you dont mind loosing the ac go with the volvo.
if you want to use the one i have, its actually pretty simple to mount it. the hardest part was putting the bumper back on. you hafta take the brackets off, mount them for the frame, then put the ic in and mount it, then put the bumper back on.
and you hafta make some mounts for the ic. if this one doesnt do what i want, i actually saw one that have the inlet and outlet on the top, it looked pretty cool but there prob isnt any performance difference.
there was actually a really cool one i want to try when i finish my 302. its like a barrel that has a pipe in the middle and you fill the inside with ice to cool down the air. i thought that was pretty cool, even if it didnt do much. pretty ingenious idea i thought

iv noticed that about the ac too. im in texas, and no ac isnt an option!! my two major concerns are the ic, and header, both relating to the AC!! the moded stinger header w/added wedge to the mounting flange looks like a winner to me, problem 1 solved, now to find an ic that'll handle 350+hp, and be able to keep my AC w/out tearing the front end apart to mount it!! im always up 4 experience and suggestions!!
