Battery Wont Stay Charged????

The other day my battery died, so the first thing i thought of was a bad battery, went and had that replaiced, went dead again, charged it back up and bought a new alternator, went dead again. Could it be a fuseable link? or possibly something shorting out in the relay?????? any info would be amazingly helpfull, figuring the fools at autozone didn't know what i was talking about

check the fuse link from the alternator to the starter relay. see if you are getting power there.

what year of truck? please put it in you signature so it shows up at the bottom of your thread.

its either the fusible link or a bad conection on the field wire.

lets start out with some info first. What is the voltage at the output post of the alternator and at the battery positive post. We can start to isolate things from there.

Turns out it was the wire coming from the starter had a bare spot and when i hit a bump it would short out on the frame, lol good thing i got a warranty on the alt.
