I am a little undecided on what i want to do with my engine. here is what i have, 95 ranger 2.3 5spd dual plug head, 85 thunderbird turbo coupe engine complete with wiring harness, 86 turbo coupe engine w/o harness. ive been reading how you guys are boosting the original ranger motor with new internals. my new idea is to build my original ranger block and sell the turbo coupe stuff. should i keep anything from the turbo coupes or just buy new i.e. rods. MAF. thanks for the help and awsome site

You could take the pistons & rods out of your T/C motor put new rings and bearings on them and install them in your 95 motor. That is what I would do.

I can't make promises but going with the 95 motor may be easier to sneak by emissions testing as you will keep the obdII system. In Wisconsin an obdII emission test is only a check for codes via the obd connector under the dash and a gas cap check. They dont look and they don't know what is under the hood. Even if you don't have testing staying somewhat legal will keep your truck saleable.
