So I'm having an issue with the A/c on my truck. It worked great before the turbo, but now I'm having an issue and hoping there are some good A/C minds out there, because now I am stumped.

Since it wasn't working, I checked the fuses, relays, and gave it a full charge. After that didn't work, I noticed the compressor hub wasn't spinning at all. So I thought the clutch may have been bad. So I replaced the compressor. Still no luck

I checked the voltage at the connection to the compressor itself, and the ground works fine, but there is no power getting to it, only about .3 volts. I also replaced the clutch cycle switch and the pressure switch so I have no idea what is going on and where I should turn to now.

I tested if the clutch would kick on by clipping into the wire, before it connects into the compressor, and clipping the other end to the positive battery terminal (so it would get full voltage), and the compressor kicked on. Any idea what to test or check or do next? Thanks

maybe try jumping the high pressure or low pressure switch to see if 1 of them are bad.

I tried that, it didn't work. Also replaced them both just incase. I've tried so many things, im almost convinced its a wiring issue.

Where does the positive lead that plugs into the compressor come from? Does it come from the relay in the distribution box?

there is a relay for it. if you jumped the pressures switches an the clutch an it worked anly thing else would be the relay. unless you have a broken power or ground wire some where else inline.
maybe also see if the blend door is switching from heat to cold an the blower switch is working right.

Does it pass through the relay llastly before going to the plug? How do I check those switches with the blend door, I don't know anything of the switches or how to test it

the power from the dash switch will turn on the relay sending power to compressor clutch.
i dont have a wiring diragram to tell you what wires to look for.
maybe just try swaping another relay in the relay box to see if it will work.

Did it loose it's charge? If it did it won't kick on.

It did when I replaced the AC compressor, but I recharged the system BEFORE I took out the old compressor and the clutch didn't kick on. Then I put in the new compressor and charged it as best I could since the clutch wouldn't kick on, and it still won't kick on.

I really don't think the old compressor was bad since its doing the same thing. Also the system is holding pressure so It doesn't have a leak
