Wow! Been looking for a site like this since I've been researching about how to Turbo charge my '96 Ranger XLT.
Alil bit about my Ranger, stock 2.3, 5sp man., swaped out the 3.73 open for a 4.10 limited slip. stuck a K&N cold air induction w/Helex TB spacer.
As for tires, Full set of BF Goodriches, Rear: P295/50R15, Front: P225/60R15 mounted on reversed smoothies w/2" backs & moons.
Right now I'm getting my lil rod ready for the local car show here in Crescent City, CA, " The Sea Cruz" this Oct. Just took the tonntue(sp) cover to have the underside covered with trunk lineing, then to "California Auto Image" for a two tone paint, Dark Gray over silver. spent 4-5 hours last weekend lining up body lines, cab / bed for that straight line. The theme is 50s / 60s paint, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth styling. Basicly "Ol Skool" an newer ride.
Someday want to want to Turbo the 2.3 using a '96 block / heads not the '86 / 88 set up. Just start from scratch and build it.
My problem is time, being a wildland firefighter, 20 years, U.S.F.S., Engineer -Engine 12, Six Rivers Nat., Smith River N.R.A. I haven't had a real break for the last 90 days. I get today off, Family and prep work for the car show cramed into 1 day. Thank God I have an understanding wife eh?? Gina's used to it but dosen't like it. She wants me to get a "Real Job". Get to retire Dec. 31, '08.
Sorry, gotta rail, Lates..........Lee
