somehow the clutch is staying compressed. was the diaphram the same hieght installed as the original. did you use if you only changed out the clutch disc TOB and PP then is has to be something with the slave cylinder.

Does the clutch FEEL right? Does it have a tiny bit of soft freeplay at the top and then feel firm for 95% of the stroke. pull the inspection boot and watch the slave cylinder while a buddy tells you how far he is pushing the pedal. If they arent moving together then you must still have air

Compared to brakes it is a lot harder to get the air out of a clutch circuit.

I'll say this, the ranger clutch is a real PITA.
Best way to get air out of the line is crack the bleed valve just a little, not much just crack it enough where air will come out but not a lot of fluid and then pump the peddle until the air is out. I found air likes to hang in the line or in the master cyl, you need to get the fluid going threw pretty fast to clean out the air.

when i did it, i pumped the clutch several times, held it in and my brother opened the valve then closed it
we kept doing that and adding fluid when needed until the pedal was stiff

I have done many clutches and never had any problems bleeding. I always pump them 50 times then open the bleeder. I repeat this several times until the clutch feels good. It seems that the 50 pumps seems to help

did the whole pump and hold and release thing, and it feels like the slave's not disengaging the disc still...???
