There will be much more to come, Ill post some pics of the truck when the deep dish Cobra rims come in and are mounted. :) My stuff has shipped from Summit as well so once I get my studs I can start on the motor. The gastank straps, Walbro GSS342 and tilt steering column are going in wednesday night. Then hopefully on the weekend the sway bar, as well as ARP Ring gear bolts, Trick Flow diff studs, a tracloc and anything else that I can think of that needs doing lol.

f250 rear bar fits the ranger?
If you install the endlinks flipped around then yes. I did some measurements the f-x50 frames are 6" wider over all than the ranger frame. 3" pre side. The endlinks step out 1.5" from the edge of the sway bar to meet the frame so when flipped the step back in 1.5" match the ranger frame.
-update april 29/11
Anyway my stuff from summit racing arrived so the sway bar, trac loc and fiberleafs with flipkit to lower the back more should be installed soon. The rims arrive Wednesday. :)

Got to start somewhere ;), I work all this weekend so not much will get done till monday. Although for my next project I just might start with a frame and build up.

First I've ever heard of a full size sway bar being used. What year is yours from? They look huge. How will you attach it to the axle? I'd like to know more of what you've discovered on this, do elaborate!!

They are from the 7/8/9th gen F series trucks the 80-94 body styles. My buddy is obsessed with them so naturally he has all sorts of parts lying around. Well I decided to give it a try after doing some measurements. I'm using the complete f-250 swaybar setup. The bar was free, media blasting/Powdercoating it cost me $40, new endlinks $80 and $40 for poly bushings. So all it its cost me $160 for the swaybar. Not bad but I was not expecting to break the endlinks and I decided to bite the bullet and buy new ones. I have been told on RPS that it will not fit. But I got to work this weekend so I'll be installing it next weekend. Along with the Trac Loc.
On a side note, The Trick Flow 8.8 Diff Studs turned out to be the old FRPP/ARP diff studs that are no longer in listed in the ARP online manual. :rockwoot:

Well I got the tracloc installed today at the transmission & gear shop. I also bought the evap sensors to try and fix my CEL. But to my disappointment it did not fix the problem. So I got the following CEL's P0443/P0453. From what I was searching the P0453 is either wiring or the FTP sensor. I had CEL's on the EVAP before the fuel pump install but apparently if you don't bleed of the fuel pressure before you pull the pump you can damage the FTP sensor. But since it's easier to install the swaybar with the box off it looks like Ill be pulling it again this weekend weather pending....
Edit: I also installed the '98 GAJ1 ecu and have been running it N/A. The ECU can also be a problem apparently so I guess I should reinstall the '97 CSY2 and see what codes I get on it...
p.s. on a more positive note my rims come in tomorrow.

It sucks that you need all that crap for emissions down there, engine bay is much cleaner with EVAP and EGR.

Ya it does, I got to keep it. Even if I get my truck listed as a hotrod I still need it. It just means it will be easier to e-test. Not that it's a problem currently, the truck runs great. I'm 90% sure its the fuel tank pressure "FTP" sensor now. Apparently they are very easily damaged if you don't bleed the fuel pressure off and pull the pump, and I forgot. The 2 stupid sensor inline with the charcoal canister have been bad since I bought it. It was about time I replaced them lol.

Well I put the CSY2 back in and so far so good. The CEL for the purge canister that I normally get is gone. I guess my '98 GAJ1 is damaged goods.

It may be looking for different sensor inputs, or different voltages on a sensor. Try going to the ford dealer and getting a print out of the pinouts of each. This way you can see if everything is the same.

The was my other though, I'll have to re-download Mitchell on demand. have a fuel tank pressure sensor. I think the 95-97 have

It's amazing how a set of wheels drastically changes the look of a vehicle.

Things still on the to do list are,
-Powder coat metal parts on fiber leafs/Install poly bushing
-Install Fiber leafs with flip kit
-Install rear sway bar
-Sort out engine problem, error p0304 now?
"P0304 Cylinder #4 Misfire Detected"
Sexy. Rims have one of the biggest visual impacts for a truck. You nailed it.

Ok so I'm reviving my build thread. So here's a update. I scored a complete 2.5 engine with 155k/km on it for $150. So I'm building a 2.5 turbo now :). I have a complete 88 2.3 turbo engine that need to be sold as well. The cobra brakes are going on in the next few weeks and with any luck I can build the 2.5 next month and will have it swapped by the end of the summer. I'm still looking for a new DD as well. So much to do...

2.5 is on the engine stand, it took a bit of work. The engine hoist needed hydraulic oil. Then I need to get 2 new bolts. I'm not to sure how Rob used those ones he had but I got a matching set now. The 2.3 turbo is still gathering dust, need it gone. Someone in southern Ontario come pick it up please.
