I have a 94 splash 2.3 Turbo. Running real rich due to new rebuild. It takse a few cranks to get it started and I was told its cause its running rich. Like all the way on my gauge. Is this correct. When can i dial it down?

mine was doing this also then it stopped firing completly. it cranked, had spark, and fuel was at the rail (and i could hear the pump kicking on). ended up being the main negative battery cable that i had run to one of the starter bolts was loose. tightened it up and started right up. (it was also sending current up my mechanical oil pressure gauge tubing and turning the screw that held it to the dash red hot) not good:nonod:

Electricity will find a ground, even a small one, and try to go thru it.. I would also look into putting a ground strap from the engine to the firewall...

there is the one on it that comes stock on the 2.3's that goes from your egr bolt to the firewall. i put a lock washer on the starter bolt so hopfully it doesn't happen again. i don't like smoke....:D
