Took another trip to Moab this year. Took the new rig (the 2000 XJ). Ran Long Canyon and Gemini Bridges to start out, then Hell's Revenge, Poison Spider, and ended the week with Kane Creek.

Ran all the trails without a hitch. Even surprised me how capable the Jeep was, I'm now a Jeep lover. Some of the stuff I know for a fact that stupid IFS in the Ranger would have absolutely stopped me from progressing. The Jeep however surprised everyone we went with. I went with two other guys with Rubicons with budget lifts and I was getting up and over some of the stuff they were spinning and scraping on. My rig has a 4.5 lift, 33's, and open diffs, and it worked like a dream. We did puss out on doing Hells Gate, but looking back now I wish I would have, my Jeep could have done it. Didn't do the escalator either, 3 wheeling with no lockers would not have been good for me.

Kane Creek (after a very washed out section I didn't think we were going to make :( , no pictures of it though as we were all freaking out and concentrating on driving )

Jeep that fell off the trail ~15 years ago or so. I climbed down to it. Its completely stripped, and I have no idea how they got stuff like the engine and axles out!

Yup, Moab, the mountains, awesome gun rights, and a great job definitely make the move to Utah more than worth it. :)
