My project... currently affectionately known as "the Garage Queen", is a 1977 pinto.
I bought it as a 1 owner car with 72,200 miles on it.
It was bought and driven by an elderly lady. Yes, she was elderly when she bought it. She was 72 years old in 1977.
She passed away in 1999 and the car was put in the garage and forgotten about.
I bought it thru a friend of mine in 2007. It had sat for 7 years untouched.
It is a little creampuff of a car. The kind you almost feel bad about doing anything to them other than shining them up and maintaining them.
It was garaged its whole life, a 30 year old Connecticut car with no rust.
I drove it pretty much daily after buying it. Trips to NC and back, daily back and forth to work in Mass...
The only issue it had was a tossed timing belt soon after I got it.
30 year old rubber... it wasnt unexpected.
It served faithfully until my mother needed transportation from mass to NC.
The night before it was to leave, it died.
No warning, no sputtering... just dead.
We pushed her into the garage where she has sat waiting her heart transplant.
I have most of the parts needed, just not a lot of time to work on it.
What I have planned for it is the equivalent of the brutal anal rape of a virgin 31 year old nun.
Pulling the stock 89 hp factory 4 banger and inserting a similar engine... only with modern niceties such as EFI, intercooled turbocharging, and nitrous oxide.
I am expecting at least 400 hp at the wheels off the bottle and on a daily driver tune.
This should move the 2400 lb car fairly well.
As far as parts I have sitting and waiting...
I have a complete shortblock in the garage.
On top of that I have a brand new race built head with custom turbo grind roller cam.
Holset Hy35W
A nice shiny intercooler and radiator combo.
Spectre eMS Pro
2 C4 automatic transmissions and a T5 5 speed.
4 15x7" aluminum mustang wheels.
3 13" vintage firestone wide oval bias tires for show car work.
and a few other odds and ends.

Also picked up a fuel tank sump pump kit, a MLS head gasket, and a custom intake manifold.
