Ok.
I THINK I found a turbo. It's from a 91 Cummins Diesel. That's all of the info I have for now but I did some googlin' and came up that it was an H1C. Am I correct?
The seller says it came from his truck and saved the turbo from his engine when he swapped for a new one. Not sure why he swapped, not sure if turbo has play all I know is he wants $25CAN for it which is retarded cheap.
SO if I go get this turbo, I'm going to want to rebuild it even though he said it was working 100% when it came off.
How hard is it to rebuild? Where can I get kits? I don't have a credit card only paypal.
I was reading up on one of Jess' videos on youtube saying he used the same turbo haha so was hoping for some quick feedback. It's too good of a deal to pass up, but I have to drive 2 hours to get it. HELP!

the h1c are good but they surge on a stock head right jess? dam my memory sucks or jess just changes his sh!t way to much.
ive run hy35 and hx35 and i am bout to run an hx40. i have yet to see an surge from these. the h1c were an older design without the ainti-surge ring.

Well I got the turbo finally.
Turns out my research failed.
All of the info the guy could give me was it was off a 91 Cummins engine. Didn't say which one or anything. Went with the common one and came up with H1C. Figured it'd be perfect.
Here's what I got haha... I can't even tell what it is because it's ID tag is missing, most likely rotted off. I peeled off a lot of rust already to clean it up. There is the most miniscule bit of play I might even be imagining it. I know it's best to rebuild but I can't even use it, it's a T4 flange. Anyone interested in it?

Would you be able to put a smaller exhaust side on it?

Heh. Shoulda just passed you the guys phone number I got it from scarborough today.
If you want to come get it or paypal me the money + shipping money sure. I'll take the $25 back haha.
I'm not sure about modding it atm as I don't even know if it will come apart without breaking bolts. There's a broken bolt in the oil drain already. The rest don't look like they will give up easy without snapping like the vband clamp bolt I took off today.
It would be cool to put a smaller exhaust housing on but you know.. I'm still noob.

You can put a smaller exhaust housing on it no problem. The big problem I see is it has the small compressor.
Here is what a good H1C looks like. This is off a 92-93 dodge cummins
