View Full Version : Bamafuel and Ranger
So I bought a Bamafuel setup before Nathan Cline skipped town (if you don't know go to turboford and search lol) My question is how much of the T-Bird harness do I need to yank to make this work in a ranger. I have 2 donor birds to part out. Just want to make sure I get everything I need. NOTE: I dont' have a ranger yet, so Just assume this is a 1st gen ( More than likely this is what will be recieve my TLC):peelout:

Just pull the whole engine harness. Just take you time and label everything. Thats what i would do. You have plenty of time since you don't have a ranger yet. What year TC do you have and what kit did you get? Send me on one of the rearends lol.
I have an 87 with 3.55 rear and an 88 with 3.73 the 3.73 is the spare for my Blue 88 and the 3.55 is the spare for Dad's 87 lol. We have a LOT OF CARS, think we're down to 40 total. I got the bamafuel kit for the 87-88 bird. The bamafuel kit is a ms1 with a ford ecu adapter that they sell on the diy ms site. It has a default tune on it and comes with a 3 or 4 bar (which ever goes to 44psi) sensor in it and allows you to go without a vam or maf. The setup is going to be all stock except for the cam which will be a bo-port 1.5 and probably 75# injectors. So the default tune should work for me with some mods I hope.:=)
EDIT: Also if you guys are looking for ms kits a guy on turbo ford is making and selling them now Wilson something, he is a MS guru and helps a ton of people over there. He basically asks what you need it for and makes a box for you (to my understanding atleast)

40 CARS!?!?!? Do they all run?
A good chunk of them about 15 are licensed and insured. We have alot of garage lol. I own a 93 cougar (BEST $250 CAR EVER) an 88 Blue turbo coupe, and an 81 El Camino. Dad has (this isn't all just everything off top of head) 79 Zephyr, 79 Orange Mustang (this is his play toy), 68 Ranchero, 72 Ranchero GT (with 429), 87 Black Turbo coupe, 93 white cougar, 96? T-Bird, 95 Vert Mustang, 94 Mustang, 89 Bronco, 98 f-150, 88 Mustang GT, 99 Cadillac 94 Cadillac (these are my moms), these are all Licensed and Insured, Then we get into the parts cars. There are some more cars floating around some where I missed probably lol.

if youre gonna use the ms on a ranger, id sell the adapter for the bird and get the 65 dollar diy harness. no old wiring to have problems with and it really cleans up the install. their harness is labeled the entire length of each wire. my .02
Can I redo the ecu adapter board to fit the ranger harness, just an Idea I had.
