I need to sell what i have so heres the list
two turbo coupe blocks 1986/1985
two complete intakes upper and lower
two cranks
two exhaust manifolds one cracked other one good
two distributers
two sets of injectors
two computers
one wiring harness
one set of used pistons and rods
two heads one cracked
other recently redone (new cam bearings and valve seals no cracks ready to bolt on)
other misc brackets and accessories
one flywheel
NO TURBOS..... someone should be able to make at least one running engine with the two pretty easily. I would like to get $500 for all of it.

Some of that is no different than stock.. the turbo engines only difference is forged piston and a turbo drain.. nothing stronger about the block.. injectors, harness, computer, and intake might be handy as well as manifolds... what would you want for the one good manifold.. or do you need to sell it all at once.. I would try selling individually on multiple sites.. maybe side run on ebay with notification of on sale locally as well?? Just my opinion> I might be interested in the flywheel.. but would want a tranny as well...

the turbo blocks are different than the non turbo blocks.
the turbo blocks are made in brazil and have a higher nickle content and better webbing. also the crankshaft is forged rather than non. there are really quite a few differences between the two types of engines. however, a non turbo block and crank can handle quite a bit of power. the turbo stuff is just better.

I don't think the higher nickel content has ever been confirmed? It more than likely is, but I've never read or seen proof of it. As well, the cranks are cast in both blocks.

There is not a notible difference in the strength of anything in the short block besides the forged (turbo)vs cast(nonturbo) pistons... and the addition of a oil drain line in the turbo. But the stock rods and cast are strong as hell.. seen a NA 2.3 live under a 350+hp nitrous flogging was funny. It had to have the plugs changed twice to cooler ranges as they turned up the nitrous...

WAYYY back I had a 79 capri with the carbed 2.3 turbo. I remember reading something about the crank being different. I have no idea about the svo or t bird motors though.
