i was just thinking of this. i know i doesnt get as cold as cryo2, but its a lot less than cryo2.
i was thinking of possibly taking a coolent tank, and putting a windshield wiper pump onto it with a nozzle, and filling it with i cold water, and squirting it onto the ic, when ever i see fit, or when i got to the track.
i know that if i wanted to do this i should have just bout a water to air ic, but those are pretty expensive, and now that i think of it i prob should have just bought one, but do you guys have any input on this cheap mod??

I had a set up like that once. I sprayed the water berfore the turbo because of the low PSI pump. I never seemed to help prevent detonation as much as I would have liked.
I am going to go to a water meth kit before long. Here is what I am looking at. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/alcohol-water-injection-turbo-intercooler_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a543Q7 c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp 3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem110293149125QQitemZ11029 3149125

not sure about INTO the ic, maybe ONTO would save some trouble, not sure introducing water to the a/f mix is a great idea on anything other than a hard fueled diesel. but good question!

yea i wasnt thinking of having it spray into the air tubes, i meant spray into the intercooler, like onto the fins. but i didnt think about the water dripping onto the track.
how does that meth kit work, does it spray into the find of the intercooler??
Spray alcohol onto the cooler. If you do it after you're moving then it will dissipate/evaporate before it ever hit the ground given you use a fine mist and not a garden hose to dispense it. This would be a cheap ghetto way though.
I'd much prefer to use something like the Snow kit out there.

Talk to any of the big racers that run the Buick Grand nationals at high boost. You want water meth injected with a fine mist @ 150+ PSI right before the T/B. This will bump up pump gas to close to 120oc this is what some racers say.

From Snow performance FAQ
http://www.snowperformance.net/faqs_type.php?type=gasoline
SP sells 50/50% methanol/waterMethanol as Boost Juice™ (see products). Methanol can generally be purchased where racing fuels are sold. Also, most gas line dryers like "Heat" are simply Methanol. Suppliers of industrial chemicals can also supply Methanol usually at a higher price than fuel suppliers.
If all else fails, most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% Methanol and 58% water. Although most contain some glycol and detergent(less than 1%), most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% methanol. Try to find one that indicates "contains methanol" and is rated to -20ºf.
Methanol can be purchased on the web at www.worldwideracingfuels.com and hiperfuels.com.

well so far i like it . parts are good quality stainless steel. everything was there an all fit how you wanted it. i got the 1 with a boost controller, meaning it will only spray once 2# of pressure is made an keeps going till it hits 15#. it will control up to 25#.
from what they told me its not just a on an off switch it will start flowing at 2# but will a pulse flow till it gets up to full boost then it will be full flow. it worked that way when i did a bench test of it.
as for on road it will have to wait till next spring to try it out.
an from what this guy told me he use to be snow's partner years ago till they had a falling out.might explain y there kits look mighty close to each other.
