So I'm new to this game. I Had to sell the 03 Lightning due to the economy and I'm looking to run low twelves again with my trusty ole' four cylinder. I have a 99 2.5 Ranger 5spd. I've seen alot of good ideas on here from the turbo plumbing to ideas on tuning software. I'm rounding up parts as fast as I can get my hands on some dough. Basically, if you guys have any tips to make this easier please feel free to respond. Plans: 2.5 Block, 97 Crank, Wiseco 8:1 pistons, crower rods 8.2in, Jess's header-wastegate-downpipe combo, SCT tuned, Cam FRPP or Esslinger(I want it to be streetable), 42lb+?, Still have my MAF from my Lightning, Turbo(I want to run mid to low 12's for now)?,SCT tuning, after my tranny brakes which will be real quick-like a C4, pinto bellhousing.

To sum it up(I want to run mid 12's or faster:
Injector size?
turbo size?
good starting fuel pressure?
tuning software?
cam choice for a street/strip vehicle?
:thanks: "The new Guy"!!!

minimum 60lb injectors
check out bo-port.com for cams, apparently they are pretty nice and streetable.

Hx35 turbo,

60lb inj

Install a return rail from a 95-97 ranger. Run the stock regulator it will run 43 PSI. PSI will go up 1-1 with boost.

Go with SCT tuning.

2277 cam or a boport cam will do well.

JESS, would you consider the 2277 cam "streetable"?! As a saturday night ride, or daily driver commutable? From listening to the sound clip posted on here, I dont think id sit in too much traffic with a rumble like that!! honestly though...?
