It took Mother Nature 8 years to kill the battery in my ranger, but she did finally succeed when the temp was -10 this morning...also broke the natural safety switch on the clutch pedal...damn plastic.:banghead:

8 years is pretty good. What brand is it?

I honestly couldn't tell you the brand - the sticker is long gone. I agree that -10 is hard on parts. It seems that now the starter or the starter relay is going out. Starts once and then starts just clicking after that....

8 years is a long time for a battery! The battery in my 98 lasted almost that long! I think it survived for 7 years

A good tap with the hammer and she will start right up! I have the new starter on order at work...can't wait for spring to arrive!
