This was posted over on Ranger Power Sports forum.I thought it was worthy of being posted here.This is a novel approach to using turbos with to large of turbine housing.It's interesting,have a look.

I want to try somthing like that with my 18.5CM holset. B2urbo made thing about like that, we hope to try it this spring. 3000RPM stall converter I may need somthing like that to get 20PSI of boost on the line.

I knew that to large or small of exhaust could effect the turbos performance.I never would have thought about choking it to spool quicker then dumping all the exhaust out as the turbo spooled up.Think I could get an HY/HX35 to spool up at 2400?I'm not even sure if there split runners or not.

The Hx=split runner Hy=non split. A hy-35 will spool by 2400RPM's real easy with no mods. I myself would say a Hy-35 is to small for big HP. Get a 16CM HX-35 holset no smaller.

The HY-35 has a 9cm hot side. I ran one and I could feel the top end suffer.
