Yea it would have been. I later ran the 5spd with the 2.3L and pulled a 1.79 60' then the clutch slipped in 3rd and 4th gear :banghead: went 106MPH at 12.3

wow, yea if the clutch dont slip and you get a 1.7 60 foot again id see it probbly be an 11.7 truck no problem.
hell add a tap of nitrious off the line, one of the 30 shot pills they sell in a sneaky pete nitrious system and that would do it i bet no problem.
What tires you running on the back of it also?
also whats the roll cage limit at your track because i know in florida here once you get to 11.5 or faster you gotta start on a cage.

Have you ever thought of getting one of those msd 2 step launch boxes for the truck also?
i dont think it would sound like this video in your truck but i bet using it without nitrious and hitting boost off the line you could pull a faster time.

My buddies use them in there all wheel drive turbo talons and go from not using it a 2.0 60ft to a 1.7

might scrape a few tenths off for ya

I tune in my own rev limiter boost builder it is a resister with a button up by the shifter, I can hit 25+ PSI in neutral. If the tires would not blow off like in this video I could pull consistent low 1.7's or better. This is with running a big holset with a 18.5CM exhaust housing.

The run is close to the end of the video.

Wait till I run at a fully prepped track. MT slicks should never break loose, track sucked and it was cool out that day.

you should come over to toronto motor sport park then. according to billy glidden an spiro pappas TMP has more hook then any of the american tracks they run.

Whats the hp limit on a 8.8 rear end before it breaks, and what psi you run in the slicks usually?
Does the track up there you ran at alow you to put vht on your tires before the run? because my buddies do that with there cars here and spray em with it before they go to help traction because moroso motorsports park isnt good for prepping the track unless they have to.
i searched all over florida fourms and havent found really anyone thats done a ranger swap so if you came here it would deffently be a eye catcher

I am running the 31 spline axles, it should be good for 800+ RWHP with hardened axles.
I'm sure they would allow vht on the tires. I usually like to run at Quaker city or Thompson and at those tracks traction is not a problem. I just never made it to a good track with the right tires or without running into a problem.

I use the spark retard for ACT & RPM based function. I put a resistor in that when enabled fools the ECU to think the ACT is 190* at 190* I command a -30*BTDC or more spark timing. It hits a wall and the boost shoots up :) As soon as I release the button full power is released to the wheels :rockwoot:
