so i may be getting a x-cal 2 today from a guy on R/f its awesome im paying 115 bucks all i have to do is get it reprogramed so what do i do about that?
take it to the closest SCT dealer? how much should i expect to spend to get it reprogramed?
yo jess did you find out anything about the x-cal 3??

It's about $50 for a new tune and they're sent via internet.Make sure you get the cable to plug the xcal into your pc.Jess will have to tell where to get tunes.I can't locate that info.

Make sure he set it back to stock.

Does it need reprogramed or unlocked? It costs 150$ to send them back to SCT and have it reset (unlocked)

If all you need is a tune to reprogram it they are like 50$. Uload the tune with Liveload right off your desk top ;)

The xcal-3 is basicaly the same as xcal-2. It will work on any OBD2 ranger (95 and newer) it can hold 3 tunes + along with the pre programed tunes from SCT. I heard it's pretty sweet :)

he said it need to be unlocked and reprogramed and i found a place colse that deals with sct will they be able to unlock it?

115$ is a good deal even if it is locked.

ok i ran into a problem the guy i bought it from knew nothing about it and he bought it used as well comes to find out the guy he bought it from didnt return it to stock so am i screwed or is the something i can do?

I'm unhappy. My xcal never came in the mail. AND the guy wont return any emails. I've had to make a claim thru paypal for my too good to be true deal :( Hopefully I get fully refunded..rather just have my tuner :(

you will get your money back. Paypal is pretty good that way. Sucks, guys do this sort of thing.

I wouldn't trust anyone selling an SCT tuner on ebay. Its way to easy to get ripped off. Thats why i bought mine from Jess :thumbsup:

I believe you can send it back to SCT to get it unlocked, not sure on the price though.

SCT gets 150$ to unlock a XCAL-2, File a claim threw paypal and give them e detailed description of what happened. Ask for 150$ back and send the tuner to SCT. You will need to call them 1st.
